Alpental is founded on the unique combination of the team's expertise in both systems R&D and large cellular network deployments. It leverages 16 years of its founders' pioneering work on low-cost radio access, small cells and wireless backhaul, including 6 years focused on advancing millimeter-wave technology solutions.

We are developing unique technology to exploit the full potential of 60 GHz to create solutions that combine the performance of fiber - ultra-high speeds and low latency - with the flexibility of wireless.


Alpental’s solution also meets the demands of a range of other wireless fiber extension use cases, where existing transport products fall short because they are too bulky, costly or unreliable.

Our design delivers unprecedented levels of size and cost reductions, and integrates advanced radio capabilities that we are the first to port to 60 GHz transport.

The result is an extremely compact and self-organizing micro-node that enables a new paradigm of cost efficient metro Ethernet fabric and addresses the scaling challenges associated with the emerging densification of the mobile and WiFi networks.




Driving the disruptive product vision to make wireless work the way we all want it to, building technology partnerships, and keeping the lights on! Pete's expertise is in bringing advanced technologies into real world deployments, with an emphasis on low cost infrastructure and wireless backhaul.

Pete was a founding member of Clearwire’s CTO group, building the team from scratch, and led the company’s technology strategy, R&D initiatives, and standards/regulatory activities, culminating in acquisition by Sprint/Softbank. Prior to this Pete held a variety of system & software engineering roles at Arraycomm, developing adaptive beamforming/MIMO signal processing products for fixed and 3G/4G mobile systems. Pete has numerous granted and pending patents in mobile wireless networking.



Mike devises the overall technical strategy, defines the product development plan and leads all aspects of engineering execution. Mike has been working on high density, capacity focused next generation wireless networks for several years, and more recently focusing on revolutionary mmWave-based solutions for small cell backhaul and wireless fiber extension.

Previously, Mike was a lead System Architect at Clearwire and UK Broadband, a Principal Researcher at Fujitsu, and was involved in numerous embedded SW and HW projects, working on C6000 and C5000 DSPs. Mike received a PhD from the University of Bristol (UK), has been granted several international patents related to wireless communications systems. He was the lead editor of the IEEE 802.16j standard, and authored the specification for 3GPP Band 41.



Remi is partnering with key players in the industry to refine and prioritize the product requirements, and drive our go-to-market plan. Remi draws upon an extensive experience of working with OEMs, vendors, SIs and carriers in the Wireless telecommunications arena around the world to develop and execute our business strategy.

Remi holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from ISEP (France) and a MBA from the University of Washington. Prior to joining Alpental, Remi worked at MobiTV, Amdocs and Nortel in Business Development, Account Management and Sales Management functions.



Bart designs the products MAC layer, leads the development of the software architecture definition and the software design specification, and participates in the system architecture design, focusing on MAC layer software running on embedded platform.

Bart has over twenty five years of experience developing sensor array based products for communications, radar/sonar and medical imaging. Bart holds two Electrical Engineering degrees, a BS from Washington State University and a MS from University of Southern California; is the recipient of two Hughes Fellowships, for Master's degree work at USC and for PhD degree also at USC; and holds patents in the area of pattern recognition, radar and medical imaging.
